Each year countless pets go missing. Unfortunately, many don’t make it back home. We offer a safe and effective solution to give you peace of mind. A microchip is a small chip about the size of a grain of rice. It is placed underneath the pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. When registered properly (which our staff will assist you with) this chip gives your pet the best chance of returning home should they ever get lost.
How exactly does this microchip work? Is it a tracking device? No, the microchip is not a tracking device. However, if your lost pet is picked up by Animal Control or taken to any vet’s office by a Good Samaritan, they will scan them with a special electronic scanner. The microchip number can then be traced back to your information in a national pet recovery database. The owner can then be contacted and reunited with their beloved pet.
